The leadership

David joined the business from finishing his full time education, on to serving his apprenticeship and gaining his indentures in 1980.

After learning his trade and the skills needed for building quality homes he then joined Rudheath Estates in the position of General Manager from 1984 until 1990 before returning to take over the business from his father and forming Cranage Construction.

Since then David has qualified for his ONC and HNC in Construction and Building and he has lectured on the subjects at Warrington and Northwich Colleges.

As a fully time served craftsman, David possesses all the hands-on skills and experience to ensure every one of the Cranage Construction team carries out the building work to his own high standards.

Every building project is assigned its own dedicated team of full time company tradesmen, hand picked by David for the specialist skills that are needed to suit the individual requirements of projects.

In refurbishing period or listed buildings, David and his teams of joinery and masonry craftsmen have all the skills necessary to ensure that the work blends sympathetically with the existing.

David Ford With Clients

At the initial discussions, David advises on the most cost-effective, aesthetically pleasing methods of construction and takes care of the planning and building regulations. Clients then enjoy a close working relationship at every stage of building in a project partnership.
